ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ok. got ya. no you wont actually lose them. you will just need to copy the ..... depends on XP and Vista the path might be a tiny bit diferent. but you should just need to copy the comunal desktop ( the one you dont use a pw for and that just starts up ) folder in damit. sorrry LF i dont rember off the top of my head. but you would just go intot he C: drive and then into anohter folder and copy your favorites from one of the other folders. let me do some diging and find. it.

the path is not the one i am thinking of on my laptop. ughhhhhhhhh. sorry hang in there.

wow sorry but i dont have the pc i need as a test machine hooked up so i have to quit what i am doing and hook it up.
any way

on a Xp machine with multiple users you would look in

C:\Documents and Setttings\%( what ever user name you have ) %

for example
C:\Documents and Setttings\pman1\favorites < now just copy them all and with your seperate id on the PC just paste them to the spot in your partition in this folder.

on a vista machine. its. ugh. ha. should have trusted my feelings.

C:\Documents and Settings\( user )\Favorites

again for example

C:\Documents and Settings\Lfighter\Favorites

in both cases the C: would be your main Drive with your windows files on it. or aka your root drive

nyce desktop gab...when you moving up to vista??? And I also see you use ccleaner, I run mine everyday.
(if you look at my Monitor1 pic in my earlier post, if you look up top of the screen in the second group of icons from the right the first icon is ccleaner)

Also here is my 2 logon screens (i rotate them every now and then) and what my old junky desk looks like :laugh2:

Image
haha, i just noticed this, since i use glossy screens you can see the reflection of the closet door in this pic :laugh2:

note the worn out desk edge, center surround speaker, you can just see the top of the sub in the very bottom of pic, and even some extra memory laying around

I'm about to hit the sack. I usually stay up all night on Saturday nights watching movies and relaxing. You must be an early riser lol

and yeah that cigarette tax is lame. I don't smoke, but I feel bad for those who do.

Wow. I have almost that same monitor, except mine is the 1907w. I love HP :D
Yeah that tax is bad. Both my parents are smokers. My mom is trying to quit but I live real close to a Indian Reservation that sells them for cheap. They don't have tax. I went to bad at like exactly midnight and I'm up at 8:30, so... yeah
