What Operating system do you have?

I have Windows Vista home premium on all three of my computers. I didn't upgrade I bought all three computers in 2008 (I'm pretty sure) so it came with it.
What do you guys have?

I also have Vista and I agree with Fish. My XP Pro works much better.

Ah. I like Vista so much better. I used XP for a long time then my computer stopped working because it was on a network with a Vista Laptop and A Vista HP. Atleast, thats what we thought because it was no longer connecting to the internet after We setup our Home network.
IMO, XP is plain and boring. I hate having to use it at school.

Well b4 we had it like ethernet cabled and then we took it off and it just stopped working. It was a pretty old computer so maybe there wasnt even a wireless card in there or maybe it just like died as soon as we did it.

Let's see..my PERSONAL computers are a macbook pro running Mac OS X and XP (bootcamp). Then I have my old desktop set up as a server running Ubuntu. Then...my dad has a Vista Business computer which (as of this morning) is dualbooted with Windows 7..an XP one...my mom has a crap laptop running xp..and a crap desktop running XP...

so that's..
1 Mac OS X
1 Vista
4 XP
1 Linux
and 1 Windows 7

vista home basic but my puter its self last week. now i got to find out if its fixable or atleast recover files off the hard drive cuz i have my beats on there from when i first started - now bout 9 yrs worth plus all my kids pics damn thing never gave me a problem till i turned it off 4 the nite n turned it on the next morn n nothin loads at all n the fan keeps runnin the ppl i called said it sounds like a hard drive failure f'n sux

There is stil a chance you can recover your files, but you need to slave the drive to another pc, or make it a thumb drive which is prolly best.

Honestly I've grown tired of Windows... Would run linux but it's a pain to run from my experience with Ubuntu and Mac is basically proprietary so you have to buy their expensive machines....

You can install some version of Linux.
Pretty sure there's an option somewhere that says install other OS

You can install Yellow Dog linux on the ps3. I've seen xp running in an emulator within yellow dog, but it is so, so, so slow it's purely a proof-of-concept kind of thing. TB was gonna send me a cd of Yellow Dog, but it go returned..but you can download it and burn it to a dvd. Only problem is that it's somewhere around 5 or 6 gigabytes... :/

download is for anyone, as long as you can run it. Make sure to download the 32-bit one if you have a 32-bit processor...or the 64-bit one if you have a 64-bit processor.. Just keep in mind that this beta expires in August, so if you're gonna make this your main OS (as opposed to a dual boot) that you're ready to go back to Vista.
