Hey i was just wondering how to make a website? A free website. Also fish could you help me if i can create a fee website i need to know how to set it up and that kind of stuff and also if you help me make a free one then how can i lock it so where only people who sign up can see the forums. Also how can i make it so that i have to accept their register. I want it to be a private sight.

Ok Kat, are you all set? If you found a free site just make sure you are not loaded with banners/ads. there are plenty of free ones out there. So look around good. Google is your friend.
This website is on my own private server.

Ok i am just using the add they gave me which is the same one they have on the warhawk olympics site i don't mind.
It is a site only for 4 special memebers so i don't need much though i installed that chatbox it is a nice add on. I will keep that in mind if i need help i will probably need it being a admin is harder than i thought there is a lot to do.

Yeah i just found out i don't like the portals. i don't know quite what to do i only have one member but he hasn't signed up and i still need to contact the other 2 to see if they want in. Oh how do you make it were the admin has to approve your registration first.

what forum program are you running? phpBB2, phpBB3, perl scripts, it varys but it would be under registration settings, account activation

Ok, we will find out, go to your Admin control panel, on the left side do you have a Board Configuration, then under that do you have a User Registration Settings? If you do, you should click on User Registration Settings, ,then on the top right you should see General Setting and under that Account Activation. Set to Admin. You will be sent an email when someone registers. You can check out their info before clicking the link in the email to turn the account on.

If you dont have this then you are using an older version

I will check but the site seems to be down how do i fix or do i just give time. I am just trying to make is as roomy for my peeps as i can. And i want it to be private so thanks for the help i will probably need more.

Normally server backups are done in the evenings or the mid of the nite, thats why they are down sometimes, so if you see this site down the server is being backed up or norm maintenence. usually up in less than 30 mins

I finally found out how to cut them into sections like you did here. Finally. I also blocked every single forum so you have to be a user to see it. No guests now all i got to do is mess with the registration and my site will be nearly impossible to get in if you aren't in the group. Now all i need is a cooler skin but whenever i click on one of their cool HitSkins then it doesn't have the name i want at the top it has something else. How can i get a good skin that i can put at top that will still say the name and it is free.

OK i need help stick and fish i have decided to destroy what i have built i have ripped the site to shreds where there are no forums, chatbox, pm's, everything. But how do i destroy the site sincei didn't know how that was the closest thing to it.

You mean just get rid of everything? So that you don't have an account on that site and no web space there? If that's what you mean, there's probably an option in your account settings.

you wiil need to delete all your files off of the server before its totally gone.

why did you destroy it when you just built it?
