POST Ground Pounder Practice Tuesday 10/7/08 7pm CST

Ok guys, time for more practice. There will be ground pounder practice this Tuesday October 7th at 7pm CST. If this time is trouble for anyone, let me know and maybe we can adjust it to 7:30 or 8pm CST. What I want to accomplish out of this training is to see who our ground pounders are. Here's what I have in mind:

First round: just a fun warm up, just straight out ground fighting without Warhawks being used.

Second round: Only tanks are allowed. Good old fashioned tank battles to see who our tank guys are, and also to practice for those who want to get better.

Third round: Jeep Races in a CTF map. People will take turns grabbing the flag and racing back to their home base with one or two Warhawk pilots chasing them. Once again to see who's skilled and also practice for others.

Fourth round: Straight out Zone battle with the use of ground equipment only.

Fifth round: 10 minute round of Sniper and Binocular use only.

Sixth round: All out free for all Deathmatch. Ground war only.


We can repeat through all these rounds a second time if more people want to keep playing . I will be hosting the server. If anyone has any input or wants to add more ideas, please do so. Hope to see you guys there!

I'll play sure. I do need someone to team me how to kill ground troops with a plane though.... That's what keeps getting us.

This isn't pilot training, that was 2 weeks ago. This is going to be ground practice only. I plan to have another pilot practice in a week or so.

Also guys, make sure to either have a mic or be able to hear those of us who have mics. There will be talking and tips provided from those who are good on the ground. I am more of a pilot, but I am pretty good with a tank. I'm sure others will have more to share with other ground pounders to help us in clan battles.

The room will also only be clan specific to keep outsiders out. Don't want others logging into the room and jumping into Warhawks and messing up our practice rounds.

hey that's a good idea! I'll be a target if anyone else wants to volunteer to help with the sniper training. I also had an idea where some of us could fly around in Warhawks and let the tank gunners shoot at us for target practice. It could help hone tank skills.

And it's cool Vash, we'll have more pilot practice soon. No worries my friend

I need sniping practice. sadly. i miss much more then i should. i have to find someone 1/2 sleeping to hit them. ugh.

I think this practice will help. We just need people to show up. I think WHO's idea of people being voluntary targets for sniper training is excellent. I plan to put myself up on a hill and see if the sniper trainees can get me. Sounds like fun lol

Also TB, any way we can get the word out about practice to other members who don't frequent the forum? Members like Zyyman and Phil etc etc. Unless they don't do the GB battles.

First sniper tip i can give you although i am not the best at it this tip i got from a pro sniper on warhawk go to your options and change your look speed to 17% that will help.

yah man i'll volunteer to be a target too. i wanna do a little sniping though also

oh yah also i think we should make a list of rotation of who shoots when cuz if there are two targets or something and everybody is aiming for them, the best snipers are gonna get all the kills

i am not sure how you run practice but i know it can be difficult to practice certain things when players you dont know come in the server and dont care but want to play, Do you password them and post it on the clan messges? do you just let anyone in? I am just curious becuase i noticed things you wanted to work on and i know how they will turn out if you let outside players in if you do not know them

LOL I already got it covered AF. I can set the room to be clan specific. As long as you are in the clan and have the Spud tag on your name, only our clan guys will be in there
