Practice ideas
Since our practice matches seem to be really heating up I wanted to get everyones input. What kind of practices would you guys like to see in the future? Toss out some ideas to me guys. I plan on having practice on my server twice a week very soon, so I wanted to see how creative we could get with them. I don't want the scrimmage battles to start to feel stale. I do plan to have another dogfight only battle night here soon, but I'd like to see what else we can all come up with as a group. Share your ideas with me guys.

NO MORE COLLECTION!!!!!!!!!!..lol..keeding...idk 2 straight weeks of scrimmage has been fun but i understand the whole stale idea..maybe for the next one we should have a practice focused on something like before...you know some ground pound then some dogfights and then in the end we just have a scrimmage battle

Just use all the modes, and many map types. Plus custom rules like *No WHs* add variety. If all else fails, *no kill games* though I find those boring cause WH is about how quick you can blow the snot outta people.
And, have one of your pratices be fri, sat or sun.

Re: Practice ideas
Good ideas guys!
And beam, I do schedule ground combat only nights, and the next one is coming up soon
And I had an interesting idea. Would you guys want to participate in ground pounder tournaments, and pilot tournaments among the clan and outside friends?
For example, say we decide to hold a pilot tournment on a weekend. All the pilots who sign up for it have their names randomly drawn and they are matched up for a 1vs1 against another pilot who also signed up. The battles would be scheduled throughout a selected weekend. The two pilots would spend 15 minutes duking it out while anyone who wanted to could log into the server to watch the battle. Then the winner would move on to the next round to face whoever has won their previous battle. The pilots would keep climbing the ladder till they are the only one left standing. We could do a tournament like this for ground pounders too. What do you guys think? The only hard part is figuring out what the prize would be.

Re: Practice ideas
Not to burst any bubbles here, the practices have all been fun as hell, but we get pwnd in small maps during GB's. we really need to be playing these small maps so we are all faminliar with the maps, weapons points, roads, vehicle spawn points etc.
We need to learn how and where to hide from the enemy, how to break out of a base rape situation, which routes to follow to stay hidden from enemy planes when we do break out and are on foot. How and where to mine there warhawk spawn points.
Overall we need to re-create scenarios that we have been caught in and work out the best way to get out of that situation.

Excellent ideas fish! I think I am gonna have a ground combat practice on my server next Friday. I'll put in some of the smaller maps, because you're right. In GBs we tend to get picked apart in close corridors. Maybe if we start practicing on those more we can start adapting to scenarios we encounter.

How about knife, sniper, pitols, only type of rooms? That tournament idea also sounds great, would love to do that.

Glad you like the tournament idea! I'll probably put it together for the month of December, and actually when I have ground only practices I do what you just mentioned. I have sniper/binocular only maps, tank maps, and just all out ground combat only. Plus next week I plan to have pilot only night. So if you like this stuff then you're in the right place because these events are coming up

re-create a base rape? Well thats simple enough, red gets 10 ppls, blue gets 6 ppl.
Fight
Yeah a strategy to get out of base rape would help.
I think the best strategy for anti-base rape is, if the table start to fall on us,
(AKA we only have 1 other base and they have all others) then 1 person sneak away, while we distract the rest of our enemies. Of course, sneaking is the hardest part.

Re: Practice ideas
I think re-creating a base rape is a cool idea. I like your idea about the 10 people against 6 idea beam. I never thought of that. I am planning our ground practice next Friday night, so I'll purposely pick a smaller map and we'll run a base rape simulation!

Re: Practice ideas
DW, i gotta idea for one of your practice maps I think we outta try, its a situation we have been in a few times. And i wanna test out my theory, its quite simple.
I will pm you the details so members on the opposing team wont know whats up, I just wanna see how they react to a situation. Then we can switch and see how long they hold out.
We will need to know first how many players there are, and decide whos on what team before the game starts.
