Flag hostage area in badlands

Flag hostage area in badlands

ok. first things first. why do people hold the flag but don't score it when they can? i never got that. which brings up todays little experience and possible good strategy against the enemy in badlands.

today i was in one of the big CTF servers and i was going through the badlands map. i was at our base and was about to get a tank from that garage under the building where they usually keep the tanks next to the landing pads. i went inside and i saw one of the allies with the flag and a tank guarding him. so i decided to help them out. i took a tank and had the guard go on one side of the door (not too close to it) and me on the other side. we stayed at that position and made sure that no one ever got to him. we went through just about the entire game in that position and the only time the flag holder died in that area was when someone had the right aim with a TOE missile and flew it right to where he was sitting on the wall. aside from that, the flag keeper was safe and we ended in a tie.

what do yall think of that type of strategy?

Interesting strategy MadHazard! I'm not much of a ground fighter (I'm a pilot)..but I'll have to try that sometime, and I am sure other ground fighters in the clan will like this. Keep up the good ideas man! :yeh:

that is odd. ok if the other team has your flag then yeah you hide and gaurd but if they dont score to win. that sounds like people who dont know how to play well or were trying to subver the game

The hold the flag on the last capture if the game is going to finish quick so the 10 min mark passes and they get 50 more points.

lol smilieys on this site rock. Like someone said, you don't win a war without attack. Typically if you attack hard enough, that is your defence. In video games anyway.
