A newfound asteroid the size of a house will fly closer to Earth than the moon on Friday (Oct. 12), but poses no danger of impacting our planet.
The space rock, called asteroid 2012 TC4, is about 56 feet wide (17 meters) and will come within 59,000 miles (95,000 kilometers) of Earth at its closest point when it zips harmlessly by on Friday. That's about one-fourth the distance to the moon.

part of Haileys comet is brushing by this sunday. I know it sounds werid to me to i dont get how part of Hailey can be buzzing us when the comet wont be back until roughly 2060 somthing. i may be off one way or the other by a decade or so. typing that from memory.

yeah you are kinda right tb, every year around this time we more or less intersect the orbit of haleys comet, so yeah, it is debris left behind.... look at the skies before dawn on the 21st, that should be the best time for the show
