What's fucked up is if you look at how he learned and who he was taught art work with. I can't remember exactly but I think he wasn't let in to a certain school. Which may have sparked his turn...

was just amazed that he was such a good painter and this in all painted around 1907, so technically he didn't do anything wrong yet, so he wasn't a bad man.

Hey man no offense taken its just.... the whole war holocost with the jewish people. he wanted to kill gypsys too and part of my genetic heritage if he had been a few decades earlier could have potentially wiped my slavic blood out of history. he should not be forgoten he should be studied in context but the art. its tough for me to make this call.
i dont see any reason to celebrate the man and i am concerned this might soften him. objectively we should recognize that maybe if he had more success he might not have been driven by politics and might have dissapeared from history a marginal painter. i am sorry he did not succed in that regard. i would have galdy put up with some crapy art to save the lives of millions.

Wow. Thats frightening. War makes for very bad accidents. That would have been awful if your relative had been killed. I dont want to censor. I dont have any problem with curiosity and information. As long as none of this becomes idol worsip I guess its ok

my ancestors are all german, my great grandparents immigrated to america, then my grandfathers fought against their own country in WW1 and 2. And both sides of my family are german, moms side and dads side, but i myself am american the way I see it, it was all before my time so it cant offend me either way.

After I saw the pics and the artist sig I was like.... holy crap, didn't know he could draw, and that was that. Next post.
