Beer Exchange

Postby WHO_99 » Thu Feb 02, 2012 12:51 am

Ok so for Christmas, i was back in Kalamazoo, MI visiting family and stuff. this is the first time in like 5 or so years my WHOLE family got together around 22 people or so. well one night, me and my cousins (there's 9 grandchildren total)decide we wanna go out and drink, my one cousin suggests a place in kalamazoo called The Beer Exchange. it sounded alright, so we went, 3 of us technically being too young to get in, but whatev lol.

When we got there, the place was packed and i could see why. it was AWESOME. the reason its called beer exchange is because its basically a Beer Stock Exchange. they have around 30 or so beers with prices next to them and based on how much people buy one or another, the price goes accordingly. So i got a beer thats normally like 6 or 7 per glass at 2.45 and vice versa. my cousin got a rolling rock for like 9.00 cuz the price was up for it lol.

Mosty they had dark beers (which are my personal favs GUINNESS ALL THE WAY) but they had soem crazy verities. since it was around christmas there were a lot of holiday type beers which were almost all very good. but the general consensus for most favorite was, believe it or not, the Peanut Butter Beer. i ksww it sounds weird, but it was AMAZING. it smelled exactly like reeces pieces and had a faint sweet peanut butter flavor, but nothing at all overpowering. i think i had like 3 of those.

Also the wait staff si really nice, and just a bit stupid, but for the better. i actually dropped my real id there and the cute chick behind the bar found it. she was like "Dave! you dropped your id!" didn't even bother to look at it and handed it back to me. i gave her a hug and thanked her and freaked out laughing back at my table hahahahahaha

but anlways, moral of the story. you find yourself in kalamazoo, check out beer exchange. get the peanut butter beer and tell the cute blonde bartender Logan that Dave said hi :yeh:

Yeah ha fond memories. The law was 18 for me. I was at the cutoff when it changed. So fake ids were not needed. Be safe and responsible who.

Thats cool and also why amsterdam supposedly has one of the lowest rates of hard drug issues. If cannabis was leagal here it would stop an enormous amout of money going to the drug traifficers. Which reduce violence

Dude, I used to work at a bar in Chicago. Old family owned Irish bar. You only worked there if you were family or friend. It was so like cheers. Everyone yells your name when you walked in. Freaking good times, and we had a back bar with no windows that we would all hang out in after we closed the front down for liquor hour.

That place is one thing I do miss about Chicago. I still rock their t-shirts, but not in public as they are quite old and stained.

I'll never forget my last night working ... There.... Terrible.. haha
