Finally Saw this. great movie. I remeber why i was interested to begin with.

its based on a short story by Richard Matherson. great sci fi writer. I dont have the box ( his story title is button button ) in my collection but i am going to see if an anthology has it.

really more then i was expecting from the story. good stuff.

i really liked it. i like richard kelly's stuff (donnie darko, the southland tales)

its just..i dunno
i dont get how they always seem to end up back at the house
i dont get what that whole water bathtub thing was all about
and it seemed like there were little..i dunno.."rabbit trails" it went off on? like they played up some stuff only to have it lead nowhere..

like i said, i wanna watch it again but havent had the chance

I still have not read button button yet but i will soon. somthing about the unkowable aspect appelaed to me. NOt that there is a right or wrong here i just thought it made the real world suddenly unreal and unknowable.

Finally Read button button. it was nice. well written nicley paced short story. very very compact and sleek. its differnt from the Movie. You can see that the movie draws from it and that it tries to go furhter and some what slanted from the premise but I LIKED The movie. short story is excellent. read it in 4 minutes i think. that is high praise for such a complex series of ideas in a story. Matherson actually had the 86 series of the twilight zone pick this story up he has an excerpt at the end of the story explaining how he disliked the re vamped twilight zones interpritation of his stroy. never saw taht one.
