thanks everyone. It was the suddeness of it all that messed me up the worst. she had issues before and had surgery to save her life once about 2 1/2 years aga. she was 10 but in very good spirts even though she had no spleen and one kidney. I am doing ok today. when i got home she was laying on her side on her bed. like she might when she would rest. i drove her to LSU's vet school for a necropcy last night after work when i found her. I want to know if its natural or if it was an unnatural death as i have two more that i need to protect if it was unatural and need to know from what. I am begining to think it was sudden cardiac arrest and natural but i am still waiting to hear back from the shcool. she was ok at 1pm that day and when i made it home at 5 she was in fairly advanced rigamortis. when i touched her and picked her up she was pretty stiff. i made a half weak hearted attempt at cpr but it was out of anger and not going to do much. i still drove her to the emergency room and was told there that LSU vets school could do a more indepth necropcy ( think autopsy with focus on investigating the cause of death ) the other two are doing good so far. I am ok i grived pretty hard diving her to LSU and on the way back. My wife is not doing as well as me and is greiving much harder.

thanks for offering to look for pics fish. i will figure out how to load some from a hosting site. i want to go and find her parents record and line and her racing name to put beneath it. she was a goofy funny happy playful dog so much a ferdinane the bull dog then a working dog. found her listing on the greyhound search site

thats a link to the site that shows her sires. neat family tree i really dont know alot about her family. there is a story about her dad and a youtube thing. she looked just like him. if i can find it i will add it here.

her dad is the one with the red jacket on running when they show the track. anne got none of the racing genes and was rescued before being euthenized ( which is most greyhounds fates sadly.) and placed with us by the GPA ( greyhound pets of america ) adoption / rescue agency.
