well the health care passed. not sure i understand what is happening but it seems to have components that wont be online until 2014 or somthing crazy like that. that is a heck of a roll out.

I can't say I understand everything about the heath care reform but I think it was needed.
From what I understand it won't change your current heath care but if you need heath care insurance you can get it through the government. It my cost something im not sure about that but it does it won't cost alot.
Also it will prevent insurance companys denying care based on pre existing conditions see this link on that.

it will also allow your kid if you have them to say on your policy till their 26 or 27 can't remember. But thats only if their still in college. My sister was in college that long so it does happen.
I don't understand why their such controversy over this. The make it out like its destroying america. Hawaii and Mass both have government mandated heath and many other countries have government run heath care. Their doing ok. Its just a start its not perfect but can be improved and it is for the benefit of life

Eh, from all I've heard it has not worked out well in Canada or Europe.

And to some people it's the simple fact that the government has their hands in it and they don't think they should be that involved with health care.

I like the idea of giving those in need health, don't get me wrong, but it looks costly. Yes I know the program is supposed to eventually pay for itself, but what if it doesn't? Guesses have gone wrong before.

I think our number one priority is helping get our economy back up (Even though its getting there) and get unemployment down.

We'll see how it goes down.

its really multi pronged. I just dont understand how and why and what is mandatory and what is voluntary.

yes our economy is still off and somthing needs to stimualte it

it would have been so nice to just lock in those loans at what ever sign up price the people had taken. i know adjustable means that but the banks ate themselves.

our Wars overseas are a mess


and many of our local US policys are based in faulty supersticious thought. many things could be done to really boost the economy but .....

it's not exactly nigeria or east timor though, i'd be happy to live there even in the state it's in. it's not perfect but come on

No its not perfect by a long shot and there is inequity and prejudice but there is plenty of good and oportunity and inventiveness. we just need to get some traction under the systems wheel and get some things happening.

Agreed TT and TB. It could be a lot worse, I just really can never imagine us getting that bad. Car dealers saw a big pickup in their month sales! Except chrysler. Let's just hope the politicians poop out some good legislature now. (laughs)
