American Airline Security Measures
Opinions and feelings?
I'm against, i promote getting rid of carry on luggage and clothing that isn't underwear, shirt, socks, shoes and pants.
Also these full body scanners. Are they just xrays? Or will they be seeing like my dick?

hmm iono. some of its good. some of its bad.
i'm kinda brown and get racially profiled all the time. kinda annoying. i've been wanded and patted down more times than i can count lol.
fully body scans seem kinda...extreme, and personal. but shit iono lol

Getting rid of carry on is more inconvenient than full body scanner's for me, i travel a bit. and i just take carry on.
Honestly i wouldn't be terribly worried about them seeing a white splotchy outline of my Junior. I've had X-rays before. There's almost nothing in there but spongy tissue, so they won't be scanning much. I'm for the scans.
sorry i can't brain today, i have the dumb

Re: American Airline Security Measures
Yea, at american airports, if you look remotely middle eastern to the security guys, you'll get a "random" check. Getting rid of carry ons would be a nightmare. What would I do without my laptop, magazines, thing to carry food, etc. And when I'm only leaving for less than a week, I just take all my clothes in a carry on, much easier.
As for the scanners, I could care less if a TSA guy sees my willy. Here's what they see:
The only downside would be the hassle of the thing, and I would imagine it wouldn't be as streamlined as metal detectors. They have sniffers already, I don't see why they don't get more of those. Quick puff of air that smells for bombs. Quick, and it works.
In my semi-biased opinion, most of the TSA rules are simply to comfort us (as well as a few other laws..). Like the liquids. No bottles bigger than 3 oz in a quart bag? why not just let in a quart, I could just combine it later. And I could have a bunch of guys carrying about a quart, all in 3 oz bottles, of liquid explosives each and combine it later on the plane and go boom. (not that I'd do it, but well, think about it, its not that hard) Taking off my shoes? I can sorta see that. But then they just put it in their underwear.
I like European security. American security, on the rare occasion I set off the metal detector, I have to redo it like a dozen times until it doesn't beep. In Europe, you can try it a few more times if you like, and then they just do a quick pat down. Not even a very invasive one. Quick and easy.

I know if you want to do something nothing is going to stop you.
But i'm more wondering. Are these full body scans x-rays or are they like literally they see like your skin and everything?
Seeing bones, metal objects, or plastic explosives i have no problem with. People who are hired to watch peoples genitals go through a monitor all day i have a problem with lol.

Re: American Airline Security Measures
I wouldn't mind being hired to look at naked people all day... granted I would just skip over all the guys...
Its not quite like an xray, it just allows them to see basicly anything you're carrying. No bones or anything fancy like that. For example, you can clearly see this dude's got a gun damn near in his ass. Also can't really see any naughty bits, just outlines really...

The worst part is that he'll be known as the "underwear bomber" for the rest of his life.
Actually that sounds awesome, like some sort of explosively acting ladies man...

Re: American Airline Security Measures
lol.
yup i get constantly racially profiled which means pat downs and wanding. i thing i got stopped twice at one airport once. that was a little weird.
also they make me take a lot of stuff off. i normally wear a hoodie so i gotta take that off, my belt (even though its one of those weird ones that is two pieces of metal that the belt runs through, and my tennis shoes. i'm like damn next its gonna be my pants or something haha
now that i got a beard, according to my friends, i look arab lol. havent' been on a plane yet, gonna be funny to see what they do.

Yea everyone's got to take off their shoes, belt, jacket, etc.
hopefully not pants...
On a totally unrelated note, my uncle is a big birdwatcher. He was waiting to pick someone up at the airport, and was looking at birds on the runway...then got "arrested" by security. apparently looking at the runway with binoculars looks suspicious...for some reason...
