FB Bra status (To raise awareness huh? BULLSHIT

Girls are supposed to post their bra colors to help awareness for breast cancer here are my thoughts.

To start off, I support the fight against breast cancer 100%, but I do not support this way of spreading supposed "Breast cancer awareness"

Definition provided by the Merriam Webster Dictionary

The color of a bra does not tell me anything about Breast Cancer, it does not tell me how to help prevent it, how to treat it, how to look for it, where to get treated.

If any girl wanted to raise awareness they would post this link.

This site offers all information to get someone aware of breast cancer and donate to the cause.

I just don't think this is good. Especially for teenage girls. There is no need that they should go yelling out their bra colors when it does NOTHING! There are already short shorts, and low cut shirts. I don't know, i find bra color semi-personal and this just pisses me off.

These are just my thoughts on the matter, please discuss.

I half agree with you. This does nothing to get people more aware of cancer, which EVERYONE already knows about. But what it does is get people talking. Now, its kinda weird... and I don't know what the point is of getting people to talk about it for a few minutes, but it does...

On the bra colors being personal topic, well, it is completely up to them to post it, so I see no problem there.

Also, I find it entertaining.

I think there should be a like website link and all on the page there is a like counter. And it keeps flipping up and it is like how many people get breast cancer per day or whatever. That would be a lot more meaningful to me. And might actually make me donate.

Just bugs me. I'm a man stuck in the decency of the 18th century i guess.

They need to bring in a personal interest for selfish idiotic women, this is supposed to be something "fun".

You already have a personal interest in it from your mum, I understand what it's like, my friends mum went through it, a lot of women are smart enough to be worried about it.

But a lot of people don't have any personal interest. THis is supposed to appeal to those women who are a bit ignorant about it.

I'm so sorry noodz... I support the cause as i've said, but I think if their going to target the fb audience. Send out some chain thing like. Support breast cancer then post the link to the website for awareness and to donate and like send it as a chain to a whole ton of people or something, but their current approaches just show that their recognizing that it is out there. To me that isn't enough of their going to try to do something about it.
