that's because you're a picky gamer Noodlez, no offense man, but I am sure I've been gaming much longer than you have when I say "relax, have fun with these games" lol

and I will add that I believe BF1943 kicks ass. I am a BF1942 veteran from a long time ago and I stand by my statement about BF1943. The game is a lot of fun whether you're fighting on the ground or in the air. I am sure more maps will be added to the game sometime in the future. To say BF1943 sucks doesn't make sense.

hey hey ppl...relax...im only sayin it sucks to bother vash =]....but i honestly don't like it...its a ww2 shooter so it already loses points for that...i like the way it plays out though...1 big ass map people are everywhere and you gotta like drive places..snipe from all the way across the island and all that stuff airplanes drop bombs and you drive out the way....yea yea pretty cool..but....its a ww2 shooter....i am sick and tired of ww2 shooters...graphically i don't find the game impressive...the buttons...i don't really like the set up....driving mechanics are pretty good though...the whole class thing...mehh its ok...i don't feel lik there really is any diffrence in classes unlike killzone....so yea..thats my opinion...great freakin concept....but just wrong time period =]

btw...DW.....you may have been gaming "longer" than me....but i am 100% sure ive beaten more games than you can ever dream of....sooooo don't use that against me please

The classes don't feel different? Wow.... Have you really looked into the game all that much? Because that's just wrong...

The graphics aren't impressive? It's a downloadable game!

And why exactly don't you like the control scheme?

If anything many reviewers have been saying that this is raising the bar on what downloadable games can be. And it seems the same way to me.

Exactly Vash, and I like what they did with the classes in this game. They took the all the different classes from BF1942 and condensed them down into three classes. All three classes are very different. Saying they aren't means no research was done.

As for the graphics, they are the same as Battlefield Bad Company which is not a downloadable game for the PS3. The graphics looks great. And besides, who says graphics make a great game? I get sick of that typical stereotype.

And yes reviewers have been giving BF1943 a lot of praise. This is also why EA had to rush to throw in more servers for BF1943, because they too were stunned at the sheer amount of people who bought the game. I do agree with Noodlez that the WW2 shooters are too over saturated in the gaming market, but online WW2 like in BF1943 can be a blast to play, because honestly I say that all the current FPS games with guys running around in dark uniforms and high technology weapons does get old too. Sometimes it's nice to go back to old style online warfare.

And beating more games than me Noodlez? Maybe lol..but I enjoy my games, I don't rush through them then shout "all these games sux!"

Ryan's opinion:
I'm with noodlez on the fact that it's WW2. I like modern games, but I would also like a 'Nam game. I juest don't likee WW2 games. Never did.
Now, with the rest of you. The control scheme is the same as Bad Company's, which I thought was pretty good. I played the demo, and so far I thought it was very solid for a DL game. Noodlez, the graphics are great, so your off there. The gameplay seemed solid, but I did kinda think it was the same as the past Battlefield games. I never played 1942, so I'm starting at 2. The online mode hasn't really been updated, IMO. Battlefield hasn't really recieved any stellar upgrades, I think they mainly have been "equipment mods" made by ea re sold for another rather hefty price tag. I do however think Bad Company was and is a great game. I think part of that comes from the fact I got it for $20. So, in the long run, $15= worth it. I think this game would be my WW2 shooter.

i dnt find the graphics that impressive...honestly....but thats mainly because reviews everywhere praised the graphics and to me...wipeout's graphics are way better....and flower....come on...linger in shadows??...those games are cheaper yet have vastly superior graphics...thats why im kind of hard on the games visuals lol

So destructible environments isn't an upgrade....... It completely changes the game. BFBC also had a completely different multiplayer mode from BF2 and was a good deal to me at $60.

There was a Battlefield Nam game. As for WWII, I'm not playing games to get a look at a war, I'm playing games for fun. If I had to pick a war would I pick WWII? No, but it's far from a point I'd downgrade a game for. I like some of the WWII weapons just like I like some of the modern weapons from BFBC 1.

Flower looks better artistically yes, but there is no where near as much going on in it. Not saying the game doesn't look good, same for Wipeout, but neither has: 24 players, online, jumping into and out of planes, tanks and jeeps with destructible environments. Linger in the shadows is little more than a slightly interactive movie. And again better art styles not necc better graphics.

Oh and as for class differences:
Range:
short: Infantryman
Medium: Rifleman
Long: Scout

Fire rate:
IM: Auto
RM: Semi-auto
Scout: Bolt Action

Secondary:
IM: Anti tank (bazooka)
RM: Anti-personnel (rifle grenade)
Scout: Close range pistol and satchel charges for setting up traps, trying to sneak up on tanks etc.

Special abilities:
IM: can repair vehicles with his wrench. And maybe gun emplacements as well, though I haven't tried it.
Scout: Has some camo to help him blend in a bit.
RM: Rifle grenades can go further (and apparently blow up on impact) than normal grenades.

There's obviously a best class choice for each situation. If you are going up against a tank you almost gotta have the IM class, unless you can sneak up as a scout. For all around the RM is a good choice, and of course for the covert combat your going to pick scout.

Nice breakdown of the classes there Vash! BF1943 is not for everyone, but to say it has bad graphics is just wrong. The graphics look great, and the sound is spectacular. I play BF1943 on my surround sound system and it's pure awesomeness. I can hear a tank come rumbling up behind me in my living room, and the sound of the planes zooming overhead is so cool. Not bad for $15. I am enjoying it and I know a lot of guys in my SKUL clan are also enjoying it. I will admit the gaming market is over saturated with WW2 FPS games, but sometimes it is nice to just go into an online WW2 FPS and have fun. I think too many FPS games set in the modern day or future setting also all look alike, nothing but guys in dark armored uniforms with their faces covered. WW2 is kinda refreshing to return to sometimes, back to the good old days of Green American uniforms and WW2 guns that have a nice recoil when you fire them.

im not saying the graphix SUCK...im saying im not IMPRESSED, the sounds..yea the explosions are kool and the guns sound awesome when shooting and the planes flying over you is the best part...and ummm vash...ok lets xclude flower and linger in shadows since they are different artistic w/e u said....wipeout..is running at 60 frames a second...there are things blowing up, gravity cars are coming in and out of nowhere machine gunning you, boosting right passed you, flying over you, looping in and out of nowhere and its all extremely orgasmic in incredible hd quality graphics....battlefield....well....theres...cheap looking boats, and and, crappy looking water, and ummm iono,

now that i actualy have the full game...my biggest dissapointment is that its all one mode...seriously??? one mode, capture 5 flags and hold em down....wow...thats really "pushing the bar" i guess ill jus dedicate one day to gettin all the trophies in the game and then delete it...waste of space!!!!!!!!!!!

It's just a $15 game Noodlez lol. Getting a "cap bases mode" is all I was expecting lol. I'm sure they're going to be adding more to the game. DICE (the company that made BF1943) has already said they want to make some DLC content for BF1943, since the game sold so well. So I am sure more will be added to the game, along with more modes. I'd like to see more TDM stuff, and I hope they bring Omaha beach to BF1943. BF1942 had that map and it was one of the best online battles I have ever been in. No map in Warhawk even compares to playing Omaha beach online.

BF (except for BFBC) has always been about conquest mode. Pretty sure BF came up with the mode with BF 1942 (yes 1942 not 43). And actually 1943 has 2 modes, air superiority is different. Either way 1943 is a lot of fun, games are about having fun. I mean sure you could get all the trophies pretty quick, but that's not why I play games.

And again wipeout has a different artistic style as well. Not sure it has as much going on as BF either. However you have to also consider this, the style of game is completely different. Wipeout is a racer, I don't think there is as much processing power going elsewhere as in any FPS. You also have to take into account the destruction factor. That takes away from resources.

And Nood it's a downloadable game, if BF 1943 was a disc game I wouldn't say it's graphics are great, but you have to put the fact that it's downloadable into consideration.

never underestimate the amount of processing power a physics engine as detailed as BF 1943's will suck on the processor.

That's my point. There's simply a lot more to take resources in 1943 than in Wipeout.

i think the graphics look alright anyway, the games only like 500 MB anyway, where else can you go, the pure demo was 3x as big as that.
