best mixed drink i've ever had was at the mai tai bar in daytona, florida.

it was called a cucumber melon crush and it had smirnoff melon, cucumber, sweet and sour, and sierra mist.

it was deliciousness.

lately my nights out usually start with a couple of red snappers and then sippin on jager and redbull. bar tenders always look at me weird when i say i want jager and redbull but not like a jagerbomb.

but the weather is warming up so we always start out at wet willies (www.wetwillies.com)

wow cool pine Mixed Polynesian drinks are awesome when done right. Jagerbomb. ha. I have to tell some people at work about that. ha. Some them love their red bull.

I had a awesome online recipe for a mojhito. I have to find that again. My mint plant is rocking this year.



My unfortunate drink of necessity right how is a double shot of NyQuil followed up by cough medicine cause I am sick again with the same stupid cold.

ok this is making me angry. i cant remember what random site i found this awsome recipie on but this is it more or less. with the right rum.

Ingredients
1 1/2 oz Bacardi Limon
12 mint leaves
1/2 lime slices
2 table spoons simple syrup
top with club soda


they left out a dash of biters. I say include.
and lime juice. i say add

muddle or mash the mint leaves

tall glass 3/4 ice to top
add simple syrup
tea spoon fresh lime juice
then limon
then dash of bitters
soda to top top

then sprig of mint and thin lime slice to garnish.

Try a blue flaming jesus

1/2 oz peppermint schnapps
1/2 oz Southern Comfort® peach liqueur
1/2 oz 1800® Tequila

Damm lucky you did not get alcohol posing that's a lot of alcohol in a short period. Sounds kind of desertish type of thing but that sounds good

I had he worst mojhito ever this weekend. We were at our favorite local food and drink bar. Ordered some grub and a couple of mojhito's. Well this place has their own special mojhitos where they add bamboo shoots. That were crushed with the mint leaves. Uhg .. I was not of fan of sucking up toothpick sized shreads through my straw.

Mental note.. don't order mojhitos at Pacific catch

ouch. sounds complicated.. i kind of like the idea. getting the sugar taste from fresh cut sugar cane and sucking liquid throughb that to flavor it. sorry the practice was flawed man. try my recipie if you ever want to fresh mint and fresh soda water are important. you can mix it in a blender but you get a blizard of mint flotsum in your drink. its kind of icky in a way.

Yeah I don't think it was made right. The bar tender didn't look happy. Plus once I sucked some up I was like wtf is that and mixed it all up.

I'll try yours someday.. don't have a blender...

going to my buddies this weekend to work on his car a bit. I suggested we try these mojhitos as our saturday drink of choice. picked up some mint and limes tonight. we'll see how this goes. what are biters?

up dated suggestion on mixing

Glass: Old fashioned, Rock


Step 1: Muddle the mint, limes and sugar, muddle until you actually smell the mint.


Step 2: Add 2 Oz of Rum


Step 3: Add the sweet and sour mix


Step 4: Add the pear nectar


Step 5: Add 8 ice cubes


Step 6: Shake it hard! 10 times at least


Step 7: Strain into the glass full of crushed ice


Step 8: Top the drink with club soda


Step 9: Add 5 fresh new mint leaves and a lime wedge or a few pear slices on top and serve it. your perfect mojito is ready to drink!



You can also use:

Golden rum, but it will give a stronger taste of rum and alcohol and maybe make the drink not so user friendly to some.

ha, well things didn't go as planned... lmao off but the mojhitos turned out awesome

here's how it went.

I was going to stop at the store on my way over but I was running late and figured I would stop out there. I went straight over to my friends house. turns out he got the wrong parts, so we cleaned up and had some rum and cokes. then ran to safeway.

ingredients that we ended up with:

mint, limes, bacardi limon, and 7up (my friend wasn't in the mood to walk around the store and decided that 7up would make up for everything else) lol, I went with it.

so I was aiming for 4 mojhitos.

made my own simple syrup, just guesstimated water amount and dumped in sugar, boiled and voila..

into the blender went:
13 spoon fulls of the syrup
48 mint leaves plus a few more
I think I ended up with about 3 1/2 lime in there

blended it a little more then I initially had planned.

found the 2 biggest glasses I could find and told my friend to pour the drinks.

oh man, somehow he thought he was going to fit 4 mojhitos into one large glass and just dumped a ton of rum with barely any room for the 7up. topped it off with 7up and guessed how much mint mix. turned the glass over once and poured.

wow! they tasted awesome!! so we made 2 more identically.

Wow. Glad you enjoyed them. Yeah the one serious thing to note is how much alcohol your taking in before you drink. They are so smothe they are dangerous
