I was in the private.. which ended a few weeks ago. I have uncharted 3 so I should be in the public one too. Is a new beta out yet?

I have psn+ so im in it. Played a couple of games it was fun and it looks amazing. I kinda want to paly on my own and figure things out its diffrent then warhawk but similer.
You can drop in parts anyware but you have to have the energy for it. You need alot of energy to make the better stuff.
I was playing CTF and the other team was playing so defensively. So many turrets and sheilds I did'nt even get close to the flag.

To be honest I don't really like it. Graphics are cool, I like the Jeeps, build and battle is neat but it doesn't play out all that great to me.

I like the game but for me build and battle just takes too much time. Too many people build at home base and just focus on defense. Even with a huge home base built you can just sneak and take the flag and if you get it out of home base you are pretty much home free with little contest.

Some games it is really hard to set up a base away from from home. Because no one on your team helps. Or if they do help they build so much crap that now you can't drive the flag out that way cause the road is blocked.

Ok, so I really like some ideas behind the game. I just wish there was more pre built building and vehicles, with capturable bases for spawns.

I find the game a little boring running all over on foot cause you're trying to conserve energy so you can build when you get there.

It looks like they have been primarily working on adjusting the flight mode. Which I think they should but I feel more work needs to be done for the pace of the game. Its definately not a fast game... Not on my end at least. 15 minutes and it feels like the game ends just as everything got finished being built and we are ready to start.

I have also yet to see the hawks do anything really useful.

I get its a beta, but I really hope they are holding a lot of stuff back.

Yeah I kinda agree with Drew, in order for the game to work and be fun you have to play with teamwork. If not it's just bleh

Cool thanks gabe drew and nood on your thoughts. The energy or $ to earn to build dymamic seemed like a potential bottleneck for fun fast play.

Cooperatiin was an issue in warhawk balance that IMHOP never really got corrected. If you played a quick game and one team was mostly clan and the othwr was ramdom people the game was over before it started.

broke down and bought a copy of uncharted 3. loving it. but i got my beta code for starhawk. tried to join a game yesterday it would not connect

played a TDM round.

wow had no idea what the button layout was. could not figure out if or how to build bases
got in a warhawk and had no idea how to control it. did blow up a ennemy in a turret.

it looks great. i have no idea about the controls. i am going to have to google this.

got a few kills in still have not figured out why i am not building when i am supposed to.
my mic was not working for some reason. seems a little slugish over all for ground play.
jeep seems quick but vuneralbe. in hawk i had the stick inverted so i was flying retardedly. got shot down. suicide killed a pair in a jeep wiht a granade and a rocket ncie :)

Ugh. Base,rapes may be worse then in warhawk . How? Well if,an ene,y completely destroys your base building and hammers you relentlessly. You cant earn enough energy to build more while being out gunned. They can take away more then could be taken away in a warhak worst case base rape. Wow lighthouse completwly fucked that up. Ok positive note. If teams are balanced and can build as,things get destroyed.,its fun. But there is that bad dark potential.

Agreed, but even if teams are even too much time is spent building in my opinion. Building stuff is cool, but it just seems to not belong in a "fast" pace online shooter.

Yeah the building does seem to slow things down. but it can be a werid tactic. i have not had enough experiance to really say if i dont like it or not. I would agre that it seems to slow the pace of the action side of the game.

Just played 3 rounds TDM and CTF. really well balanced. killed and was killed alot. had a blast. when the game is equal it really is fun. I dont know if i like the space theme as much as the war military theme of warhawk but it might grow on me.

Agreed again, I don't like the look of the bad guys. And yes the game can be fun. I don't know, I should try it again, haven't played in a couple weeks. It doesn't draw me in though.

thanks drew and fish. its not all bad. there have been some fun games. one just ended in a draw. i count that well balanced brutal fighting.

but yeah in a very unbalanced game it was very much old school base raping fish. it was almost worse. in warhawk you could not destory wepons that you would spawn by. in starhawk the enemy can destroy everything in and around your base leaving you with a few granades and a machine gun and a knife. brutal

i am having more fun then not with starhawk.

still having fun its a damn brutal game and takes some planing. IDK if i like the awaards / bonous to your player type system i see waiting in the wings. to me that would be unblanaced if you give some players more amo and better load outs... will have to wait and see how this plays out. i cant figure out how to get the damn mine dispenser yet.
