RRB Ground Pounder Battalion roster

RRB Ground Pounder Battalion roster

Postby DWOMT » Fri Nov 28, 2008 2:12 pm

Ok this thread is made to create a roster of who our ground pounders are. It may take some time, but once this roster is done then I will move this roster into the announcements section of this area of the forum to secure it for us to always see. What these commanders need help with is finding out who our ground pounders are and who wants to be placed in the ground pounder roster to be contacted when they are needed for a battle. So our first step, to list all current people with ground fighting skill in the clan. Then the second step will be our jobs to contact these people and see who wants to be placed on the roster. Sound good? Ok here's the info so far, we'll add more as we go along.

Commander-MadHazard
1st Lt-WHO
2nd Lt-RyanMiller
Landmine and map layout helper-Fish (aka mobicube)

Roster:
MadHazard
WHO_99
RyanMiller36

Vizari (good in tanks, and also on the pilot roster)
Noodlez16 (also on pilot roster)
MichaelVash (also on pilot roster)

You can still fly lol. This doesn't mean you're grounded or anything. This structure is to help organize our talents for GGLs, GBs, and friendly clan battles. If a battle truly needs ground guys you'll be considered for ground use, but you can still fly if it's needed and there's a shortage of pilots. For fun you can fly all you want lol

But generally you'll only fly if the pilots have a plane and we need another pilot, because as I've pointed out, if you start taking planes pilots can't find them.

agreed michael. That has hurt us in many GBs, where random members of our clan would be taking planes in the middle of a battle leaving our skilled pilots on the ground running around looking for a plane. Then the less skilled pilots are up in the air getting destroyed while the talented pilots are left on the ground to be slaughtered. It's a backwards situation that hopefully my new system will fix.

which is why we are organizing people into these new categories. and so far we have come up with the major ranks and at least one or two grunts to start. (by to the by, the term grunt is not a bad thing. its used as a term for infantry, or the standard unit)

Aspiring sniper here.

Though don't count on it. Badlands, omega dawn, vaporfield glacier are all horrible to snipe from.
Badland - too many mountains, no trees to hide behind so WH kill you if you find a good spot.
Omega dawn - Too big, not enough action in one place.
Vaporfield - Waayyyyyyyyy too big, once again like Badland, hiding spots don't work out well. Best sniping map - Island outpost, unlike archepilago there aren't aren't already 3 snipers on your team per round.
In [i<3u] clan. Though this clan's forum's are a lot more fun then <

good question TB. I think for now we can put the stealth killers on the ground pounder roster....BUT...MadHazard and his Lts can get creative and make the stealth killers some type of inner special forces group that works within the ground pounder ranks. Just an idea.

i think gab needs to stay in the air, hes a hell of a lot better than me and i like to land everynow and then to set mines or grab a quick turret, depends on the map

I put Gab on both groups rosters. Gab primarily will be a pilot, but will be a backup ground pounder if more ground pounders are needed against say a mostly ground pounder clan. But mostly Gab will be in the air. I added him to both rosters.

gabe does seem most valubale in the air from what i have seen as well.

DW just asking becase I dont know if we are being redundant or we need to really seperate the wild run and guns adn the sneaky sniping killers. or if they really all belong to the same group.

you posted before i did. I understand please dissregaurd my statement to fish. top above.

Well against a strong ground pounder team it's likely fish or I would switch as well, depending on the other teams number of pilots.

I came up with an idea guys to help make GBs flow smoother. I think the commanders of both battle groups (including myself) should take the time to contact the clan members listed on their rosters. I'm probably gonna contact mine through the PS3. I will ask them if they are interested Clan vs Clan battles, and if they are, then to sign up for GBs and instruct them how to do so, and explain to them how GB works. That way when a GB is upcoming and we need the players, then the commanders and Lts can contact their roster through various means and get the players needed, and not have to go through the hassle of waiting for peoples GB registration to go through. It will make things much easier. What do you guys think?
