Hey never give up on somthing like that. i am almost 40 and reallly for the past 3 years have been trying to learn to play the guitar. My Gpa played all string instruments but had no patients to teach his very Hyper grandkids. ha. fun cool guy but rotten instructor plus me very hyper not a match made in heven. any way i finally plunked down and have been doing ok. never going to be a Joe Satriani but i can stumble through a few scales and chords :-)

any way i am also trying to push forward in picking up my MCSA / E eventhough its kind of old / out of date certification. the good thing is it never expires. :-) i was trying to do the sever books first but got wore out decided to do the windows xp exam first to get the ball rolling. feels like more familar ground to me.

yeah i want to write and play games and watch movies too. its the same for everyone there is just not enough time to do what you really would like to in one lifetime

any way. start touching base with us here and i will be online late friday night or early sat to try and hook up in WH with you if your schedule is open.

Best guess is my time 8-16-09 gmt -6 its 9 pm almost my time your time 8-17-09 gmt + 10 next day ( to me ) about 2 pm give or take a few minutes

hehe, lessons never teach me right, i've learnt guitar through exploration and observation. i realised i had decent technique from the outset from watching so many video's of john petrucci, Joe satriani, jeff loomis etc.
i think it's more fun that way, it's kind of like the first time you play tetris, and you start to discover all the patterns that work and get you points!

plus if i can't do something i just ask my brother!

hehe, there's no reason to give up on game development for fun! I've just started mucking around with XNA game studio and i'm finding it's pretty cool, i don't know nearly enough C# though. i'm sure you could breeze it TB.

You might have seen the "indie" games on the Xbox live marketplace. all of those are made within XNA, and anyone can make them! http://creators.xna.com/en-US/
