POST battles for 1/13/09 & 1/16/09

Postby DWOMT » Mon Jan 12, 2009 4:42 am

Ok here are the dates and times of the week's upcoming battles:

Tuesday 1/13/09 at 8:30pm Central Time
Scrimmage battle night. Anything can be used, including ground and air both. I will throw in CTF, Hero, maybe one Dogfight, DM, TDM, and even some close corridor ground fighting. The practice will begin with a goof off 15 minute DM to warm up. After that, the teams stay the same depending on where the server places you, and these teams will fight together through the rounds. If there's any unbalance then teams may need to be adjusted.

Friday 1/16/09 9pm Central Time
Dogfight night. Air only combat. I will put in rounds for DM, TDM, FCTF, maybe one ground war round, and even a chaotic Hero mode dogfight with Warhawks only. For ground pounders, don't get discouraged about showing up for this. This is a good way to get air practice. Remember, this is for fun and it's non-ranked. Our pilots still go to the ground war nights to get pummeled by you guys lol

Hope to see you guys there! :yeh:

Yeah I know the practices this week kinda sound basic, but we really need to get some air practice and scrimmage practices for the upcoming GB matches. Next week I'll get a bit creative again guys :yeh:

you still want the mystery battle? it's just basically a pretend GB, except nobody knows who their team mates will be, and what maps or modes will be used lol

Well it's still a mystery. You don't know who your team mates would be, nor what the type of maps or modes. Maybe I'll do this idea again next week :D

Do what I used to do when I was your age WHO. I remember my Mom used to get after me all the time for always playing video games when I was a teenager. I'd tell her "You know Mom, right now some parents are mad at their kids because the police are bringing their child home for always getting into trouble, but yet I am at home harming no one and enjoying a fun hobby, but you're getting mad at me. Would you prefer cops were bringing me home instead?"

Say it real sympathetic like. It always made my Mom shut up and leave me alone lol

Well, video games can be good for you.....

We worked on these ppl's house and we were taliking about kids always playing vid games now and they were saying how one of their daughters had always played vid games and now she works for NASA and their other kids that were not interested in vid games are basicly jobless bums.
I hate it when the voices in my head go silent.....I never know what those fuckers are up to.

very true fish. To me video games open up imagination. I grew up playing a lot of Flight Sims and adventure games like the Legend of Zelda. To me it opened up my imagination. I have always noticed that a lot of sucessful people are or were gamers.

Sorry I can't change friday's night line up. It's air combat for air practice. I had ground only practice last week, and tonight's is a combo of both practice. I gotta make it fair for everyone. However for fun I might throw in one spontaneous ground map into the dogfight mix Friday night if that helps.
