POST Tuesday 9/23/08 Dogfight Practice session

Re: Tuesday 9/23/08 Dogfight Practice session

Postby DWOMT » Tue Sep 23, 2008 2:33 am

Just a reminder guys. 8pm CST is the time Tuesday evening for the dogfighting practice. This is not only to practice, but to see who our pilots are. Our official pilots so far are obviously Cloud, Gabrile, and myself. We want to add more to the RRB Air Force. If you guys can try to find other pilots, maybe friends who are clanless who seem to have talent for air battles..bring them. The more pilots we can get the better. It will give TB a large pool of pilots to choose from for Clan matches.

Room name will be DWOMT

I probably won't password protect it, because who knows..maybe someone who is clanless will join in and start showing some air skills, then we can all try to recruit him.

it doesn't have anything to do with today's practice/recruitment but i think we should utilize the passenger option more in warhawks more during games so that ppl can get where they wanna go quickly.

I'd love a bit of Warhawk piloting practice. If there's room on the server, I'll join. I'm not an experienced pilot, but I'll warm up on a local server. It would be great to be a clan pilot, but I think I'll need a few weeks of practice. I've been sticking to foot soldiery and ground vehicles because I currently make for an easy target in the sky.

My PSN id is Clumsy_Thumbs. So if I blow myself up and happen to take you with me, forgive me! I'll make me a signature with the PSN id. Or can I just change my login id to the forums? I'll check that out in the accounts section.

Hi mrf! Yeah come on over to the practice. We're more than willing to teach you. This won't be the only Warhawk dogfight practice I have. I'm thinking of doing one each week to better ourselves and mesh our pilots together to work as team. So you're more than welcome to participate :yeh:

We really need a core Elite unit that does the Caln V Clans and there by allows the not so competitive players to remain in the clan. This way I see us able to be competitve and focoused on fun. Practice will draw in those with the competitive bug and begin to collelace into our Alpha Squad for competition. Yet still allow those who are intrested in gaming tips but not yet ready to compete a place to find answers and training.

DW: oh haha ok sweet sry i didn't see it in the earlier post. btw i'm ok at what fish in an earlier post bout turret camping. also another idea i would suggest in large games, when we have our air force, is 1 or 2 pilots (i'd be willing to volunteer) only dedicated to moving ground troops around, especially in the omega factory maps

TB: i'm not exactly an elite unit or anything but i'd like to participate in the clan battles

sorry i had my mic on but i don't think anyone could hear me. i need a better one. anyway great job DW its really important to have a presence in the sky. I know i over use the lightning but its easy to get kills anginst warhawks with it :D . i had a few tips i thought id share like DW said invs is a good back up to get away but if someone makes a lock just before you use it they can still fire a locked on missile so its not perfect. allways get chaff and refill it as needed. Fire a homeing missle and it takes awhile to fire a second switch to another weapon in the meantime to finsh off a enemy. you can dode most missles by spinning them off but you can also use the turrain to avoid them don't be afaid to stop behind somthing when your being followed by a warhawk he my just fly right by you.
droping an a-mine to kill a plane behind you is a cheap move but why not lol.
allways use your machine guns. keep practicing you will get better. :yeh:
and vash you are very good.

Man you were awesome with that lightning gun! LOL. I've never seen anyone kill so much using it, I was very impressed with it. I kept trying to find ways to flank you with missiles to avoid being hit with lightning, was an excellent challenge lol. I'm glad you could hear us on the mic. I kept seeing your name pop up like you were going to talk, but it was always static. Are you using the bluetooth headset? I put mine away for a USB Headset, and it works awesome. I never have a problem talking now. I can't wait till me and you fly side by side against other clans Gabrile, we're gonna kick some butt :gun:

I use PlayStation Eye for my input and the bluetooth headset for my output. So I hear you through the earpiece but talk through the Eye.
