lol actually I'm probably gonna have the Dogfight only night on Tuesday night of next week. Then I think I am gonna have a second battle Friday night of next week, but make that one a ground only war to make the ground pounders happy lol
And yeah I have the same trouble as you Pocket. I am a dominate air player, but in a pure deathmatch dogfight I struggle a bit because everyone is gunning for me. It gets very hard to chase someone and be targeted by 4 Warhawks all at the same time. It's funny because Kalm only got me like once or twice in that dogfight, and I got him a few times too, but he sure tore up everyone in the clan lol. One of our other new pilots tyson also did a lot of damage, and he made second place. I made third because I kept smacking into the airmines that tyson was spitting out everywhere lol

Airmines are the bain of my existence in warhawk. Seems like some rounds the only way I die is if there are airmines in the clouds. As a rule for me, I dont use them unless severely outnumbered or the other team is pumping them out like its going out of style, then its fair game.

LOL we are so similiar man. I can hold my own in dogfights, but airmines are another thing. I just seem to be a magnet for them. I hate turning a corner and then BOOM lol. I also despise crappy pilots who fly around pooping them out like there's no tomorrow. Those pilots I kill easily in a dogfight, but their airmines get me. I sometimes find myself cussing at my TV when it happens lol

Random question for you guys. Who is the best pilot you have encountered? For me it is jac247. We had a 1 on 1, he had 5 kills and I had 3 in a 25 minute match. He was proflight and definately one of the best in the game in my opinion. There are lots of others who have pounded me but none in a one on one situation where you dont have to worry about stray rpg's or other planes. Just curious.

Well let's see. I don't think I've encountered the best pilot of all time yet, but I sure have met some good ones. I think me and Kalm20 are about equals, but if I let my guard down, he'll get me. Same goes between a battle with me and Pocket Sand. There was one pilot I encountered name Big Joda. He was dominating the skies in a CTF official server. He was destroying everyone. Everytime I went up he'd just come out of nowhere and blast me out of the sky. He got me like 6 times in a row before I finally turned around and shot him down 2 times in a row. I was the only person in the whole server to even kill him that night on the server. He was so impressed that he added me to his friend's list. He's definitely a tough pilot, way better than I am.
Oh and the Japanese players are dangerous in the skies too. Sometimes when I am up I'll log into Warhawk servers at like 4am Central time to see who's on, and the Japanese players are deadly in the skies. They somehow still hit me even though I snap their missile locks. They are amazing.

Seems like the japanese players would have the advantage cause they are closer to the servers. I chalk it up to lag when I break locks then die. Very frustrating when that happens but what can you do. If anyone is on tonite and gets owned by Chadooka thats my brother. He is coming over tonite to watch my kids. He is very good in the air,(not as good as me or DWOMT) and on the ground. He plays spiltscreen with me sometimes, dosen't take long to get to a base rape when we play together. Then we like to switch teams to see if we can bring the other team back. Wish I was here this weekend, Sucks to miss out on good warhawk time.

Thanks for the offer TB, had I found you guys a week earlier I would totally join but I just joined a clan a friend of mine created. If you are trying to say " Hey pocket, join the clan or stay off the boards" I apologize and will keep my posts to a minimum. Hope to be there next tuesday DW. later

LOL he's not telling you to go Pocket. He just thought maybe you were interested in the clan. Now he'll know you already have a clan. You're more than welcome to post here all you want. We have friends from other clans who post here all the time like Krazykat and Sharp who is from the AoD clan. They hang out here too. So post away man. And yeah I am going to take a different route with my server. Every Saturday I will make an announcement for two practices for the upcoming week. Sometimes it will be dogfight only, ground combat only, all out battles, etc etc. Different stuff each time to keep it interesting. I do know for the upcoming week I think I'll have dogfight night on Tuesday and ground combat only for next Friday night. I'm not that great on the ground, but I can hold my own in a tank and it makes the ground pounders happy lol
