just today i finally got the chance to put my spankers psp 3000 up against a psp 2000 and psp phat. i have to say, im quite impressed, the colours truly do kick arse, with the other screens looking pale and washed out in comparison, a severe deal more than i anticipated they would, of course you have the issue of scanlines, which really arent as bad as every single person on the internet seems to think they are, i'll take my screen over the old any day because the colours are so much better, i havent had a chance to test the microphone quality as skype refuses to connect to australian numbers, but it's inclusion is handy anyway. size wise in comparison to the phat there is a huge difference, though the same dimensions as the psp slim, it still astounds me how chunky and heavy the original psp feels in comparison. another drawback is the psp 3000's (so far) unhackability. i really want to run CFW and homebrew, like quake 2 or duke nukem 3d on my psp. also the supposed anti glare screen is bulltwang, you still see jack shit in the sun, and run towards shade when you begin to walk out of the shadows while playing tekken as you're kicking jinpachi's arse as panda and don't want to lose.
