yeah i did like this movie overall. i think it was done by the same guy or based on the same material ( comics) as the 300 movie

I was expecting the kind of vampires you were TB but it came out really done and they were just brutal killers in the movie. The scene where everyone is trying to run out of town and it has an overview showing the masacer (sp) is pretty gory.

it paints the vampires completely unsympatheticly. very non modern treatment going back pre 1970s mind set. very cool idea. set in a place with no sun for 30 days. very very obvious concept now but before it was done. brillant.

somthing to do with the angle of the earths axis at that time of year where they are in the dark for a month. happens on the polar oppisite end too.

Ya it takes place in Alaska and im not sure if its during the winter or summer but every year Alaska gets 30 straight days with no sun.
