it is basically a team deathmatch with one person on each team selected as a hero. hero spawns w/all weapons, deals extra damage, and takes less damage. points are scored by being the hero and killing people on the opposing team, or by killing the other teams hero wether your the hero or not. non hero to non hero kills score no points team wise. when hero dies, new hero is randomly selected. theres is also a timer/bar where it tells you how much time you have lest as the hero. :]

Yes the only deaths that score points are from the hero or to the hero. :-)

Ok then we'll keep the Dogfight for Island Outpost
King of the Hill for Hero (best availability weapons of the Destroyed Capital maps)
Skirmish for CTF (its the maps they force everyone to play most of the time anyways...)

Sorry to hear that it did not go so well, however i look at it this way its a game and you are having a good time. However most of us have a life out side of a game, and you have to realize other people dont and all they do is warhawk you know. I know if warhawk was out 10 years ago i would be online all the time and be probably twice as good as i am now, i know for a fact becuase i was their when socom 2 came out and i was like 23 i was a complete Pwner on that game. This is what i have to say to all those with no life outside of a tv screen Have a nice day

That was my approach and somewhat is still but we have decided to try and get a core of six to eight palyers who will be the competitive core. we are open to having fun palyers who just log in and play with us but we want a competitive core who does the brutal competition and wins. So we have begun the training and planing. I could care less if other players are better and desverve to be in the competitive core more then me but I would like to see us gain in ability. that said i sitll want to play and love the game alot. my 2 cent.s

I was going to post some thoughts, but I haven't had a second.

Individually we're not that bad, but we really don't have the pack mentality that I notice the other teams using.

If I encounter one or two players from the other team, I can usually beat them (especially on foot), but the problem seems to be that I don't just face one guy, it's more like 3 at a time. When I try to take a zone, etc. I always end up squaring off with 2 or more of the opposing team (with one of them usually in a Warhawk).

We need to do the same thing. We have to get better at working in small squads/pairs if we're going to compete against the more organized clans. I think we do a great job of having a team focus/goal each game (thanks TB!), but it may need to be broken down a bit smaller is what I'm suggesting.

I agree that many of these teams are going to practice more than we are, and will generally be a bit more organized (I don't think most of us have time to play as much as it would take for us to be dominate), but the good news is that if we tweak things just a bit I think we can be a tough group to deal with.

Also part of the problem jez is we've mostly fought elite clans lately. These are people who play Warhawk 24/7 and treat it like it's a job. I could never play a video game like it's a job. I play to have fun. If we ever want to be as efficient as these guys are, we'll have to give up our lives, and I don't want to do that lol. I'm sure you guys don't want to either. When we fought the Swarm and won in an equal fight it proved that as a team we need to avoid the elite clans. I'm not downing them because they play awesome, but I don't have the time to dedicate my life to Warhawk 24/7 to be THAT good.

Ok yeah, ALL we have fought have been elite clans, whos idea was it to battle WAR!, they were the top dog in GB's 08 spring season with 38 wins and only 3 losses.

And then we battle Venom? They came in 2nd place in the GB spring 08 season. And it was just as well that we forfieted to BSK, we would not have won anyway, since they were 8th in the 08 spring season, these guys are all elites so please quit accepting their challenges and dont challenge them.
