what 'emo' means, like mcr and jimmy eat world
Those are two of the crappiest bands ever and aren't at all emotive hardcore, emo and emotive hardcore are different. Emotive hardcore is usually a well balanced mix between singing and screamo, unlike death metal which is all low pitched screamo.

Ya, I like It dies today. Its also bands like escape the fate, saosin, silverstein, underoath, armour for sleep. Some have screamo and some don't. They aren't death metal screamo though, it actually sounds talented.

Re: Metal
My friend tried to imitate lamb of god, he uses a rasp and has no idea how to sing and sounds like crap but he still tried. Not a huge lamb of god fan myself though. They do have one hell of a drummer though.
