I somewhat agree (although, I'm as much a part of this group for the bs-ing with everyone as I am to kill as a team in Warhawk) with Noods... we haven't had an organized clan fight in a couple of weeks. DW has the practice going (which I vow to become a regular participant in soon), but other than that, not much. I don't think we need GB battles to do things as a clan, however, maybe just make Thursday nights (or whatever) clan game night on Warhawk; if we can get in a friendly clan game with someone, fine, if not we just all hop into servers with each other.
In the end, I'm afraid with all of the new games (many of which are multi-player) that Warhawk may finally be going the way of the slow death. Nothing to be sad about, but instead an amazing run for a great game. I'd love to see them announce a sequel at some point soon (might keep people playing the original in the time between to stay sharp). New modes, incorporate all of the new vehicles, etc. into all of the maps, let you bring your donwloaded levels to the new game (like rock band does with it's add-on content)...
I don't know, but I think it would be about time.

warhawk doesen't need a sequel yet....it came out last year...if there will be a sequel it should be announced next year and come out in 2010...but i agree that it is kinda dying...atleast to me...i could actualy manage without ever touching it again...especialy now that im trying to kick the resistance team up a notch with scheduled practices n stuff

LOL Warhawk is not dieing. I hate it when people say that. It's the small percentage of elite players on the PSN forum who think they are the only players in the game who cry it's dieing. The huge majority of normal Warhawk players who don't go to the PSN forums have never heard of the guys crying the game is dieing. I have seen dieing online games in my time trust me, and Warhawk is nowhere near it.

Definitely not dead. Its the only game with a solid user base that has vehicle combat. Hell Unreal Tournament 3 came out like 8 months ago and people stopped playing that over the summer. Only 17 bucks at gamestop now. They just released the demo for warhawk a month ago and quite a few people are in those servers playing all times of the day, and thats just the demo. Also the "green" noob servers have tons of people who are new and playing. I just got of to chief sgt (or whatever it is), and its like a whole new game. And the last point, this exact same thing happened when GTA4, MGS4, and a few others came out. There are tons of games being released right now and people are always going to test the waters and play the campaigns. They almost always make there way back to a place of community for multiplayer. I've played lots of multiplayer games and warhawk has that "itch" that people just keep scratchin. Its different than most other fps mp games so there will always be an audience that keeps goin back.
wow, I wrote a book up there.

LOL I feel the same about Warhawk, it's like an itch I have to scratch. I'm just very addicted to dogfighting in the skies. The game is very unique compared to all the same online FPS games out there.

No doubt that Warhawk is not your run of the mill garbage shooter. I guess my point is that I'm not sure how many new-purchase ps3 users are going to buy this game and dedicate a bunch of time to it. Hope I'm wrong... maybe Home will allow us to recruit the new guys into the game and convince people to give it a shot over some of the others.
Still think a sequel makes sense; we get a new CoD game every year, a new NCAA/Madden every year, so why not Warhawk? Here is what we need to start campaigning for: vouchers for those who purchase the previous years game that allow a discounted price on the current game. I'm not talking about the 35 cents EB and the other "game" stores give you as trade-in credit either. Seriously, if Target (for example) said, "bring in your receipt showing you purchased Madden 08 from Target, and we'll sell you Madden 09 for $15 off the reg. purchase price,” how sweet would that be? The return business would be worth whatever they might lose in the mark down (I'm guessing I'm not the only person who purchases games from about 15 different places).
That's my rant...

yeah I agree jez. I just feel it's too soon for a Warhawk 2. Maybe winter 2009 or Spring 2010 I could see a sequel. I remember Battlefield 1942 being my first online FPS and I had a blast with it. The sequel to follow was Battlefield Vietnam and that was like what 2 to 3 years later? I only got Warhawk May of this year and am not ready to already trade it in for a sequel. The problem with the gaming industry today is they move way too fast and don't let players savor the moment of the game. For example, I am a huge Legend of Zelda fan and I like that Nintendo takes their time with those games allowing me to enjoy the masterpieces the create with that franchise, instead of cranking one title out each year.

Totally agree with the take your time thing, especially now that I'm older and don't have as much time on my hands. I've never played a God of War game yet, mostly because by the time I got around to thinking about it there was a sequel and I didn't have the time to play through the first to get the story from the start. Plus, I don't think you can uncover all of the great things designers plug into games unless you invest a good amount of time (which you don't get if a sequel hits the shelves 13 months after the previous game).
Speaking of sequels, just saw on IGN an article confirming Uncharted 2 for next year... WOOT!

Re: You Joined now you are quiting care to tell us why
I hear ya jez. Back in my PS2 days I thought God of War looked so cool, and I really wanted to pick it up. By the time I had a chance to play, the sequel was already out. I also feel the same way about sports games. A friend of mine played NBA 08 and said he played in a league online. I thought that sounded so cool and wanted to join, but now all the Sports 2009 versions are coming out. It's just all too fast. I want time to enjoy a game and other games as they are coming out. I'm also in the same boat as you jez where my time goes fast. So I only get so much time to play games. My wife sees to that lol
