Re: RRB vs Blue Angels?
Ok guys I sent bigpuppy with the Blue Angels clan an email saying we might be available for a Saturday evening battle. I told him it'd be after 7pm Central if that works for you guys? I was thinking maybe shooting for an 8pm or 9pm central fight.
So far from this thread here is who has volunteered so far:
DWOMT
fish
Noodlez (possibly)
I3lue
MichaelVash
twistedblister
Vegito
Pocket_Sand (possibly)
Gabrile
Moe_Dog
Looks like 10 volunteers! Way to go guys! And all of you solid pilots. Great air talent in this group. I wonder if we might be able to pull off a win or at least a close win lol

cool! So you're a snowboarding type guy? No wonder you have fast reflexes when me and you dogfight lol
And yeah I am up for some dogfighting tonight. I can probably be on sometime after 8pm central, if any of you guys can be on?

Re: RRB vs Blue Angels?
I feel the same way Vegito lol. I kept resisting the urge in ground practice last night to jump in a Warhawk and fly through the sky. I just love the feeling of gliding through the sky at fast speeds. I think we need some dogfighting practice sometime this week anyways. The pilots we'll be facing from the Blue Angels clan are elite pilots, so we have our work cut out for us. Win or lose, I say the upcoming battle will be a good way to test our skills and see how good we are as a team. I can't wait till all of us are fighting side by side against this other opponent.

Well let see I have never been in a battle as a clan member before since SPUD is my first clan I'm in. I know it's totally different then when you're in an official server. I know we have to work as a team and in official servers players go off and do what ever they want. I need some info and tips please.

Re: RRB vs Blue Angels?
Yeah clan vs clan fights are different than the official servers. One thing that is key is to communicate with each other on the mics, and also to listen to what others on our team are saying. Also try to look out for the fellow Spud member closest to you. In fact now that I think about it, once we're for sure how many of us are officially going to be in this fight, I think we should break into pairs and everyone have a wingman. And the pairs will look out for each other. Also some of the flight manuevers I posted show pilot pairs in battle, so we could put that to our advantage. I think one of the maneuvers was where the two pilots sandwich an opponent and gang up on him in the air. We should definitely practice.
Also this clan we'll be facing is a superor opponent, so we're really going to have to watch out for each other. Fighting a superior opponent sounds like fun though lol

I'd love to have a ground war with the Blue Angels, but I think they are mainly a pilot clan, so I think we'll have to match them more in an air battle than on the ground. I think if we can hold our own in the air against these guys, we have a shot at winning. But yeah a "no warhawk" battle would be interesting, I can try asking for one round with no warhawks lol
Oh and the clan tag is a weird one. It's [Spud], our real clan name is Rebel Rude Boys (RRB), but for some reason our leader twistedblister put some funny meaning behind the tag Spud lol

Re: RRB vs Blue Angels?
Wow! I found a website about this Blue Angels clan, and these guys are hardcore. All of them even fly blue colored Warhawks to represent themselves. These guys look challenging. I gotta admit though it's impressive, and them all having blue Warhawks makes it easier to know who to shoot at LOL

Oh and I am just awaiting word from them to see if they want to fight Saturday night, so I should know soon hopefully.

No not all of them ride in the blue lightning color which is my favorite when i USED to have it when i was Brig General in the rank up glitch........ You achieve it at the rank of captain! So all their members commanders and below don't fly in them.

Re: RRB vs Blue Angels?
you got it WHO
Yeah these guys are good. It's like I said, even if we lose, we'll know how we measure up against a group of elite pilots. Then we'll know what tweeks need to be made and what kind of work we need to do to improve. So this is a good way to find our weaknesses.
