Their a little too death metal for me, good drummer though.

Alright TB lets talk about one of the most important things, solos! What solos do you know and which ones are your favourite?

FIrs to stick nice notice. ha. i have no idea my mind wanders like everyone as long as no death threats pop up i am pretty much letting these babies trvel thier natural path.

TS I know most of Stairway to heven. I know almost no solos beside that. i have spent most of the time working on chords and rytham. I know somewhat / 1/2 for got Jhony b good solo seem to be a lick in a lot of punk stlye.
I know Ride On's solso some what i have read seen differnt interpriataions and am not seeing the pattern but sinces its in a version of a blues scale it makes some sense to me.

Hmm well I know a few solos. My first real solo was the intro solo to fade to black (metallica) and my next one was a simple little one from the song Everybody (strabilo). I also know the solo to NTF (illscarlet, great band go look them up) Lake of Fire (Nirvana) and My Apocalypse (Escape the Fate). I just started working on the sweet child of mine solo as I know the rest of the song. I shouldn't have to list the band name for that and if anybody here doesn't know who plays sweet child of mine, go re learn everything you know about music XD. I think im like the opposite of you TB. Im getting reall good and picking and tapping and im getting pretty fast but I haven't centered much on rythem. I can play a lot of chords easily but most of my songs have picking or power chords. I know a few rythem songs though.

ha i was tinkering with Paradise City but the tab i found did not make sense. it seems like a little overaly and they had two rythams plus a lead if i am not out of my mind here. so they could do complicated melodys. I have tried to focous on bands or proformers with acoustic that have to play a rytham to carry a song. Kosciusko by MIdnight OIL has an amazing melody to its intro with the acoustic and Gut Feeling by Devo is an awesome 4 beat 5 chords rytham. i will check out some of the ones you mentioned I have not noodled / paracticed in two days and its driving me crazy.

I take it you use an acoustic? I was using both an acoustic and electric but my acoustic needs new strings badly and im too lazy to get new ones.

finally finally i have both. I like doing some acoustic songs ( tryiing to figure out Good Feeling i have the tab but the rytham is wonky) and i like to crank up the distrotion ( somewhat) when i am alone.

I love using distortion. I have a really good distortion pedal, it has 3 pedals and a wha pedal. I can make like techno and echos and really heavy metal, tons of stuff.

I am pretty happy with my setup there is a new combo pedal i am dying for but i cant get it till i pay off my camera debt. I am set pretty good till then. I have an old Line 6 DM4 pluged into a Snaraling Dogs Wah pedal. pretty happy with it

yeah the intro licks yeah easy imediately i dont even have to pick up my guitar. it is a intro that is also used. not verbatim but same frets E string A string thing for Down on the Corner by CCR altough the kansas one rocks a bit more. same notes differnt implementations. good stuff
