I think I might have an old thread on minecraft. I haven't played it scene my old computer dyed with minecraft on it. I really did'nt play it long enough to build anything cool but I might pick it up again.

I've never been able to get into minecraft.

There's something about minecraft as an outlet for creativity that just bugs me.

#1. It's creativity, with limits. You're only given a set framework, a set resolution, a set type of things it's possible to create. It limits what you can really do.

#2. It doesn't really exist.

The fact is, any creation you make in minecraft is totally intangible. It exists so long as there is a program there to decode that information and render it. When minecraft is no longer supported years later, your creations are gone. There's something about the intangible nature of it that....got to me.

I have actually been playint this. if you can call it playing. dont get me wrong. its a novel idea and fun. but this is a grueling time eater. beware.

fish told me to check this. I play PC primarily since i built my gaming rig. I lost the majority of my stuff since i reformatted my computer though. If you get minecraft for the PC i will most definitively put up my server if you want to play. Also, i will post a few screenshots of one of my most recent houses.

lol tb, they have been at it for quite awhile, if you can build a square house you are doing better then me....I have never even played it

Thanks man. I heard that the pc has a design mode or create mode.

Put the game on that or easy. Mode so you don't have to worry about creapers while you build

lol yeah, thats mainly what I play on if I am not on a server i like minecraft more for the building aspect rather than the survival.

Got it but it has problems. It stalls alot not sure why. It's a pretty stout pc with two video cards slaved into one via Asus crossfire. I can run team fotress two without a stutter if that helps.

maybe try updating your java? I am running Java Runtime Environment 7 and I get a solid 250 fps (which of course is also the result of my graphics card.) You may need to update your drivers for your graphics cards, and just check and make sure everything is up to date on your PC. Thats really all I can think about...

Here is a link to Oracle where you can download JRE 7 if you dont have it. Just look around a bit. There are also the developer versions of Java which may help. Just get JDK or JRE depending.

You can also try this.

Go to Run
Type in %appdata%
open the roaming file in your appdata folder and delete everything in the .minecraft folder
Next time you launch minecraft it will download everything. Do this in case you may have a corrupted file or something.
