HELP!

ok if you are not playing currently or at some ponit post a walk through of what you do and what you see on the screen.

very very slowly. one by one. so maybe one of us will catch somthing.

i turn on my ps3 using the controller by pressing the ps button. then after it turns on i put in the dvd right side up. then i wait for the dvd icon to come up in the movie section, but it doesn't. thats pretty much it, normally it works accept for the rambo movies for some reason those take a couple of tries to work.

are you able to play any movies at all BD or DVD?

I have mine set up to not do auto play on insertion. so i have to move over to my Video Column when i do htat i see the dvd

nope i've tried a few dvds and none of them have worked and i'm not sure what a bd is but i'm pretty sure i don't have one. i have the same settings on mine TB but when i wait for the dvd icon to show up it never comes

BD is Blue ray Disc or sonys acronym DVD should be any one except for the HD DVD Microsoft format would be albe to play.

ok Do the DVD s play in a stand alone player not a game system?

we have three really crappy dvd players and none of them work anymore. both me and my mom use my ps3 cuz its better that the cheap ones we have.

ok well the reason i asked is that if they worked on stand alone units you could say you knew for sure it was not the dvd that was bad.

Are they scratched up or the ones with say double or triple movies on them? those are sometimes inferior dvds. i have never had issues on my ps3 but have seen my CPU DVD not play some.

Damn Ok. some one needs to jump in and help. every thing i can think of is not applicable.

one last thing maybe might help. set the auto play upon insertion of any disc to on. I am just thinking that is a shot in the dark but give it a shot.

yah i already tried the auto play. i even tried resetting all the settings on my ps3 and that still didn't work

maybe i'll just go to bestbuy and tell them something is wrong with it and they'll give me a new one, cuz i have insurance on my ps3, and they did the same thing when i had a 360.

but suggestions would still be helpful cuz i don't know if i can transfer all my downloaded trailers, demos, and games onto the new ps3 and i like the one i have. We have a special bond

wow doing the warranty return would be my absolute worst option nukelar action.

I would do that at the very point i started pulling out hair.

Do your games load and play with out issue?

games are fine. i rented 2 other ones. one is a blue ray and one is a regular dvd and they both work fine. then i got replacement dvds for the original ones and they still don't work so i guess my ps3 just hates street kings and be kind, rewind
