nope, i'm using FamiTracker. it's a tracker sequencer based around a software emulation of the 2a03 sound chip from the NES.
trackers are the only way i can have fun making music solely on computers, i hate everything else.

if i can get DOSbox to work the way i want it to i might try doing it in good 'ol fashioned OPL3 sound blaster 16 style.

oh i'm running 0.73 on vista home premium. i was having trouble getting the virutal HD to load my stuff properly, but i intalled a front end and it's working fine,

but adlib tracker is quite a difficult tracker, all the basic commands are mapped differently on the keyboard to any other tracker i've used and there are no menu/button controls. have to hit up the manual hardcore to learn all the new key commands :(

yeah i bought an 80 dollar book about C++ only to find it was harder than a t-rex's shit! so i scampered off to C#, which is a lot easier.

i'm still shocked by the visual suite, it's made by microsoft, it's awesome, and it's.....free, yet........made by micro$oft D:

Yeah belive it or not the MS suie of Vis xpress is really cool and it comes from MS. i dont know how to explain that but its free and cool. therer is a more roubust suite that you pay for but for learing and workign with great tools the Vis express is great.

T-Rex. hopefully your not comparing it to mark bolon poop. yikes.

Hey what time is it there ? its 8:45 in the PM here. playing some dead space and getting over a allergy attck and or cold. :-)

yeah but even then the full suite is only about 300 bucks and you do get a lot more, like the ability to use custom compilers and other plugins. plus there's the excellent XNA and game creators GDK plugins. also free, bringing Xbox 360 production to the rest of it. i think it's a good move.

when it's about 8/8:30 for you it's about 10-11 AM for me.

I'm resurrecting this project. I'm changing it up a bit though. There will be No NES style chiptune. It will now be mostly guitars. I'm going to work on it on the holidays (2 weeks time for me)

(i need a proper project or else i get nothing done)

Sure i will!, You have much experience in music nood? you need a decent grip on theory and a bit of a mind for melody to use trackers effectively but they're a great interface :)
