you should put some laxatives in those peanut butter sandwiches and see what happens

i dunno tb, some raccoons are pretty used to humans and all the food they give them, this one doesnt seem to be to scared of me since i was sitting out on the patio the other nite and it walked up to within 5 feet of me, gave me a funny look and then walked off.

lmao drew... i have been feeding it, but now its been raining and i figure it dont want soggy food

Ha. same thing with cyotes here. there was a family of them really close to the house. not a danger to my 3 girls but to small dogs possibly. I saw people with dear feeders inadvertently feeding the cyotes and they really have no fear of man. i rode my bike right up to them and say 5 feet the puppy pack sort of retreated but sat there in the woods watching me.

ha sounds like you have a racoon buddy. serriosly watch out for the rabies.

in case you missed the pbs nature show tonight

http://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/episodes/raccoon-nation/introduction/7518/.

man they are so cute and smart and i want to wish them well but that worm parasite they can carry freaks me out. hmmmmmmmmm do i want a pet and risk brain damage and death.
puppies dont cause death in people from transmitting airborn worms that eat your brains.
1 reason dogs are better then racoons

teach them tricks!!
they make good guard animals, attack burglars with flying worms :yeh:

here in australia, if you catch a wild camel, you may keep it..
i think it is also allowed to keep an dingo as pet. not sure on the last one tho..

I did not realize au has cammels. Be nice to your cammel as I understand they like to bite.

Dont get me wrong raccoons seem cool but brain death from worm eggs. Makes me worried

camels were brought here from Marocco to help creating the railroad track from darwin to adelaide (4000 km)
after that they were set loose and got over populated.. hahaha

AU. Has a rough history with invasive species. The wild dog or some canine family died out in the early1900. Then the frog thing. Just to mention a few

I tried to look up the documentary. I did not find it readily but found a creapy animal skin photo on wiki. some things really should not be used as fashion accesories.

Got a job!!!!! Started today, it really fckin boring, but its work.. And we killed a cane toad today at work.. They hide in everything, cars shoes houses tents pots at work in the plants..
If you drive them over with a tractor (did it last year) you have to go over them twice, becoz you cant kill them in one time.. They are extremely taugh!!!

Anyway, nice link tb, didnt know most of it!!!

Congratulations man. Glad somthing picked up for you.

Ha yeah there are lots of cool facts on the wiki page. If your body excretes or produces venom you probbly dont have a lot of natural predetors. The domino effect of importing one species to take care of another was a horrible series of,choices
